Boundary-pushing British designer Craig Green is at it again, linking back up with adidas to find a balance between utilitarian functionality and adidas’ archival aesthetics. The dynamic duo constantly shake things up in the fashion world. With each new season, they're flexing their creative muscles and showing us all how it's done. As expected, Green throws his penchant for sculpture, modern art, and fashion into the mix on this collaboration that sees Stan Smiths split in half, you read that correctly. This reworked tennis shoe, aptly named the Split Stan Smith, features a slashed design with a thick rubber strip holding the two halves together, showcasing Green’s knack at deconstructing to then reconstruct. Completing the futuristic split leather upper is iconic Trefoil branding, sewn back up at the heel and legendary French tennis player Robert Haillet, printed at the tongue.
