A momentous feat of engineering upon its initial release
The second model from adidas’ ’30 Years of Torsion’ celebration, this ZX6000 utilises the OG colourway and materials that made the late-‘80s sneaker such a hit with runners and sneakerheads alike.
A momentous feat of engineering upon its initial release, the Torsion system continues to be adapted and used in modern performance-focussed pairs from the Three-Stripe; a true testament to how forward-thinking the tech was. Allowing the forefoot and heel to adapt to surfaces independently, the TPU Torsion bridge joins a sturdy rubber outsole underfoot and an external heel cage up-top to provide runner-demanded levels of stability. Completing the sneaker, the German sportswear brand adds a subtle retro-yellowing to the midsole and dresses the creme upper in lightweight mesh; adding suede overlays for additional durability before rounding off the throwback silhouette with iconic Trefoil branding to the tongue.
