Back in 2014, the Godfather of Streetwear, Hiroki Fujiwara, and Nike Jordan collaborated on an AJ1 that went right to the top of grail lists. This year, they’re back. Using the distinctive design language of his Fragment Design label, the Japanese multi-hyphenate reimagines the Air Jordan 3.
The colourway is simple, the construction is premium, the details are impeccable. The model’s usual elephant print makes way for smooth black leather – complete with a debossed lightning logo, just like the AJ1 – and the heel tab is switched up, too. That lightning logo appears once again, printed beneath a clear rubber tab that houses the mid-flight Jumpman, entwining the aesthetics of both partners and completing the look.
