New Balance is the sneaker brand of the moment, thanks to its running-turned-lifestyle silhouettes. This time, though, the Boston-based label is teaming up with LA artist Bryant Giles to put a vibrant spin on the 2002R. The uppers are crafted from neutral canvas and detailed with an array of subtly embroidered abstract facial features, while tonal text that reads ‘what now?’ sits proudly on the heel as a nod to Giles’ recent work. Underfoot, you’ll find white midsoles and a gradient yellow mid-foot piece, alongside a semi translucent grey rubber outsole.
