Boston-based sneaker label New Balance and Facebook Group turned streetwear community hub, The Basement, collaborate once again to put their spin on the coveted retro runner - the 2002R sneaker. This ‘Stone Grey’ edition marks the finale to a year that has seen the release of two other 2002Rs, making an appearance with the same deep black midsole. They’re decked out with a combination of light grey suede and leather uppers and sit atop the infamous ABZORB sole. Elsewhere, the ‘N’ logo has been given the Basement treatment, attaching to the side walls with a minimal set of 9-bar stitches - paying homage to the communities OG logo - while other iconic hallmarks feature at the heel and tongue.
