No stranger to Nike’s halls, Undercover’s Jun Takahashi returns to the sportswear giant’s HQ with the SFB Mountain sneaker boot. All-black and ready to battle, the rough-and-tumble sneaker is part of Undercover’s ‘New Warriors’. For SS19, the label’s Paris fashion show consisted eight tribes inspired by cult ‘70s classic ‘The Warriors’, and the SFB Mountain was worn by ‘Bootleg Truth’. Brightly dressed NYC natives that never speak, the ‘Bootleg Truth’ tribe love to make a statement, and this trail-ready sneaker certainly does. Originally debuted in 2015 with inspirations stemming from Bill Bowerman’s WWII service, the performance-based silhouette is built to tackle to harshest terrain; layered with mesh and midfoot straps across the uppers, while a toggle lacing system locks things in for the ride. Ready for a turf war on the streets of NYC, this ‘New Warrior’ takes high-fashion to battle.
