Its contemporary, Paris-meets-Tokyo aesthetic to a retro basketball icon.
Collaborations are nothing new for Maison Kitsuné, but its latest PUMA capsule is the first time it’s not produced footwear in-house. Instead, it lends its contemporary, Paris-meets-Tokyo aesthetic to a retro basketball icon: the Ralph Sampson.
The black leather upper is pretty classic for the model, but the overlays aren’t — they’re exaggerated and bright yellow, giving the illusion of an oversized, encased sole unit. It’s co-branded at the tongue and heel with that unmistakable fox silhouette layered over PUMA’s signature letter logo.
