Blending meticulous Japanese design with skater styling the result is a line up of dark and eerie hybrids that we never knew we needed until now. The Old Skool Bolt is revisited by the duo, with Masaaki Homma’s penchant for punkish styling apparent from the monochrome palette to the leather toe and heel. Heading into menacing territory, the rubber sole is extended up the side wall, getting dangerously close to the “jazz stripe” while lace stays tie in, edged with strikingwhite framed leather. It wouldn’t be Homma’s without the skull and cross bones would it? Part of MASTERMIND WORLD’S DNA - and a logo that has been reworked more than 1000 times - it takes a spot at the heel, where its embroidered above classic Vans branding, driving home the subversive skater aesthetic.
