Since their inaugural collaboration in 2020, adidas and Wales Bonner have become a dynamic duo, consistently capturing the spirit of the times with their reinterpretations of the iconic three-stripe designs, blending sporting codes with Caribbean heritage.
Fast forward to FW23, and our favourite duo is back at it again, breathing new life into old-school models from the archive, all through the super detailed and intricate lens of the coveted designer, Wales Bonner.
The resurgence of the Samba model continues to hold steady, and if this version is any indication, it shows no signs of slowing down. The archive style is once again the focal point, maintaining its classic foldover tongue, three-stripes, and gum rubber sole, but with uppers dressed in textured pony hair. By fusing traditional sports heritage with Wales Bonner's distinctive tailoring touch, the designer's stitchwork takes centre stage at the heel and tongue, while cream leather panels highlight the toe and interior.
